Founded in 1933, this café named in honor of the Guarani Indian tribe of the Amazon Jungle better known as the musicians cafe, stands out for having a very special atmosphere, the result of the compromise between tradition, quality of service and the artistic spirit that guided its existence from an early age. It has always been a space for socializing, gatherings and culture.
This amazing historical café continues to live up to its name with a wonderful Belle Epoque atmosphere in its main room and attractive winter garden which have guaranteed it a spot in every café-themed coffee table book.
There are several spaces within this cozy space, to be relaxed alone or in socializing to share a simple coffee or cocktail, following the current trend of upgrading the traditional "café" space where you immediately feel that it was created with great care, noting the attention to the interior design and the delicious details.
Casa das Bôlas
The famous cakes from Pastelaria da Sé de Lamego, have a house in Boavista where it is possible to find the famous delicacy in thin and well-filled strips, in various versions, such as "the house", ham and cured ham, cod or sardine. Also noteworthy are the conventual sweets and delicious traditional cookies.
The batches are always coming out. The whole process is done in front of the customers and everything starts with the preparation of the puff pastry, which is then placed in the molds, and also of the cream, with the mixture of eggs and milk. Only then does it go through the oven and later on they come into the showcase crispy and both hot and cold. Each cream can be accompanied with powdered sugar or cinnamon.
Contrary to what the name seems to indicate, Chá Clube, is not a private club, it is an ex-libris of tea houses. The classic and cozy decor, so much to the English taste, pleases everyone who knows how to appreciate a different and careful service. Chá Clube is open daily for lunch and snack. This chocolat store is focused on the quality of the cocoa and on the rehabilitation of the varieties that were, originally, brought by the Portuguese from Amazonia to the island os D. Tomé e Príncipe around 1850.
